Rosie's Golden Goodbye's
🌟 Rosie's Golden Goodbyes Project
Comfort. Compassion. Dignity in the Final Chapter.
Rosie’s Golden Goodbyes is a special hospice program dedicated to giving senior and terminally ill rescue animals the love, care, and dignity they deserve at the end of their lives.
These animals may be in their final weeks, months, or days, but that doesn’t mean they should go without warmth, comfort, or companionship. Whether they're struggling with a terminal illness or simply reaching the end of their golden years, we believe their last chapter should be gentle, peaceful, and filled with kindness.

Bruce came to us under heartbreaking circumstances. After his beloved owner sadly passed away, Bruce was temporarily cared for by the landlord, who stepped in to make sure he wasn’t left completely alone.
Bruce’s story is a full circle of love and loyalty. He was rescued as a puppy by his owner, and the one wish his owner had was that Bruce would never end up in a shelter. That wish was heard—and honored.
Now, Bruce is part of Rosie’s Golden Goodbyes, where he will spend the rest of his days in a warm, safe foster home, surrounded by love, comfort, and gentle care. When his time comes, Bruce will leave this world just as he entered it—with dignity, peace, and the promise of a reunion with the person who first gave him a second chance.
Until then, we’ll make sure every day is filled with soft beds, kind words, and the kind of love he gave so freely his whole life.

Reggie came to us from what was, at the time, an unknown situation—but it's now painfully clear that it was one of neglect. We were told he was 17 years old and in good health. While some of that turned out to be true, there was still a lot we didn’t know about this sweet boy.
We brought Reggie in for a full veterinary workup and exam to better understand how to move forward, especially since we believed we were caring for a very senior cat. To our surprise, the vet estimated his age to be closer to 12—and aside from some concerns, he appeared to be in good shape. We were thrilled!
But then the bloodwork came back, and it showed signs of kidney disease.
After a long and thoughtful discussion with our vet and board, we made the decision to welcome Reggie into Rosie's Golden Goodbyes. We were told the disease could progress quickly—or it might take its time. We're hoping for the latter. Either way, we are committed to being there for him, every step of the journey, no matter what his body decides.
Reggie is now living in one of our board member’s homes, where he’s receiving constant love, attention, and care. He’s on kidney-friendly food and supplements to keep him as comfortable and healthy as possible for as long as he has.
When his time comes, Reggie will join Bruce and Rosie, but until then, he will be cherished and cared for—just as he deserves.
