Adoption Fees

At The Pink Paw Project Rescue, every adoption is more than just a match—it’s a second chance. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of vital veterinary care, food, shelter, and the love each animal receives while waiting for their forever home. By choosing to adopt, you’re not only giving a dog or cat a better life—you’re also making space for us to rescue another in need.

We believe in full transparency, and we work hard to keep our fees reasonable while ensuring each animal is healthy, vaccinated, and ready for their new family.

Meet Rhubarb (“Rue”) 🌿 Rue is a beautiful 35-pound blue merle Australian Shepherd with a heart as sweet as her name. This smart girl knows many commands, is fully house-trained, and rides wonderfully in the car. Rue is great with kids and does well with cats (she may give chase on occasion but stops when called). Rue absolutely loves fetch and will happily play all day if given the chance—it’s her favorite way to burn off energy and show off her playful side. Rue needs to be the only dog in her new home. While she is not dog reactive and can coexist calmly with other dogs, she has a history of starting unexpected fights. To keep everyone safe and happy, a no-dog household is best. Aside from that, Rue is truly the world’s best snuggler and a wonderfully intelligent companion who will fill your life with love and fun. 💜

Meet Luna 💫 Luna is living proof that we don't deserve dogs. Despite a rough start to life, she has shown nothing but love, loyalty, and resilience since arriving in our care. This beautiful 2-year-old mixed breed came to us through our wonderful partners at the Mat-Su Animal Shelter, and she has been an absolute delight ever since. Luna's past wasn’t kind to her—she came to the shelter under difficult circumstances and is believed to have had at least one litter of puppies. Shortly after arriving, she underwent a spay-abort procedure, meaning she was pregnant at the time and the pregnancy was terminated during her spay. While that chapter of her life was heartbreaking, it's now closed. Luna will never have to go through that again and can finally just focus on being a baby herself. Luna can be a bit anxious in a kennel, but she settles well at night and naps peacefully during the day. She’s already learned "sit" since coming into rescue and is eager to learn more—she would thrive in a positive reinforcement training class. She's incredibly smart and just needs the chance to show it. This sweet girl is naturally submissive and may take a little time to fully warm up, but once she does, she’s all love and snuggles. Wherever you are, that’s where Luna wants to be. She has had zero accidents in her foster home so far, but since her full history is unknown, any potential adopter should be patient and understanding if a few hiccups happen during her transition. Luna is truly a special soul. If you’re ready to offer her the second chance she so deeply deserves, we promise you’ll be gaining one of the sweetest companions you’ll ever meet.
